Description
AC Cobra 289 FIA 1964 – PTH – beautifully prepared & high performance
This AC Cobra (#CSX 2562) is a car that was registered and delivered in the United States in 1964 by Hi Performance Motors in Los Angeles. The car was originally grey with a red interior and came with some period options.
The car was rebuilt by Kirkham Cobra in the 2000s and prepared to race in all major current classic competitions (Tour Auto, Le Mans Classic, etc...).
The car has been driven by Andrew Haddon and John Minshaw at the Goodwood Members’ Meeting, as well as in the Masters Races at Zandvoort and Goodwood.
The car was red and – during its mechanical restoration – was repainted black.
The vehicle complies with current FIA specifications, with all correct components and meticulously maintained to the highest standard.
The gearbox and differential have completed 5 races, and the engine has only done two test sessions after a full rebuild by Peter Knight in the UK. The car produces 461 hp at 6,800 rpm and is equipped with an MSD ignition box in accordance with Peter Auto regulations.
The car is fully race-ready (excluding safety consumables) and has a PTH valid until the end of 2025.
The car is sold with a set of spare parts:

2 magnesium wheels (7.5") compliant with Peter Auto regulations
