Derek Hurlock‘s Thames Ditton Factory introduced the Ace at the time of the 1953 Motor Show and with the familiar two litre six cylinder AC allied to a steel tube chassis and strikingly sporty aluminium coachwork, the new model offered 100 mph performance and remarkable road holding as well as superb looks.
The engine developed a purposeful 102 bhp at 5000rpm and the marque enjoyed considerable competition success in the hands of amateur drivers such as Chris Lawrence.
