Raleigh is one of the oldest British motorbike manufacturers, founded in 1887 by Sir Frank Bowden in Nottingham, initially dedicated to the construction of bicycles, becoming the leading company with annual production that reached peaks of over 100,000 bikes. With the arrival of the first engines, Raleigh took the interesting opportunity for growth and moved to the construction of motorbikes by equipping them with the best engines available at the time, including the JAP, produced in Tottenham, London._x000D_
The model on offer is fitted with a 600 cc 4HP JAP engine. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
