Est. 13 hp, 175 cc single-cylinder engine.
Parilla’s 175 cc single-cylinder engine was first visible in the Turismo Speciale model, which featured short pushrods operated by a single cam high on the timing case. By the simple addition of a high-lift camshaft, modified versions of the 175-cc model began to have success on the racetrack in Italy. A 175 competition model was timed to a road speed of 96 mph. An aggressive sales campaign was launched in 1957, and Guiseppi Rottigne was employed as a works rider. In 1958 he managed to win the 250-cc Grand Prix at Daytona—on a 175-cc bike. Other race successes were achieved by Tony Woodman who rode for Parilla from 1959 to 1963.
This 175 MDS is a well-presented older restoration with excellent paintwork and good brightwork. It is finished in silver and black, livery that is normally associated with Norton motorcycle
