The MV Agusta F4 1000 AGO is part of the F4 series, produced by Agusta from 1998 and designed by Massimo Tamburini. The F4 1000 has the virtue of recapturing and restyling the strengths of vintage sports bikes. Despite its advanced technology, precious materials and excellent performance, the bike has a long wheelbase, privileging stability over handling. Positioned further back, the saddle forces the rider to charge the forearms, while the wide semi-handlebars increase the sense of control. It has an ultra-light four-cylinder 1000 cc engine. The special feature of the valvetrain, with overhead dual camshafts, is the radial valves, angled 2° towards the centre of the combustion chamber. The F4 is the only four-cylinder bike with a trellis frame with chrome-molybdenum steel tubes.
