Motor Guzzi, one of Italy’s most famous motorcycle manufactures, was formed in 1920, although production did not start until 1924. The company was founded by Carlo Guzzi, an aviation engineer and mechanic in the Italian Air Force, and Giorgio Parody, a young World War One pilot with whom he served. Guzzi’s early designs incorporated fairly revolutionary designs of single cylinder engine bikes with complex valve gear, and early models gave them competition success.
This model, however, was the first motorcycle with a serial production by Moto Guzzi, approximately 900 left the factory. It has been comprehensively restored and is thus offered in excellent condition, which comes as no surprise given the provenance of this important piece of Italian motorcycling history, coming as it does
