Description

The 250 cc Moto Guzzi Airone was designed and built from 1939 to 1957. It has a four-stroke single-cylinder engine with air-cooled horizontal cylinder with 70 x 64 mm bore x stroke and two valves per cylinder. It is fitted with a 22 mm carburettor, pedal ignition with kickstarter, and reaches a power of 9.5 hp at 4,800 rpm and top speed of 95 km/h. The Airone has a 4-speed transmission, multi-disc clutch and chain final drive. As regards the structure, it has a tubular duplex cradle frame, front suspension with parallelogram fork and clutch shocks, and rear suspension with swingarm and clutch shocks.
