In the 1950s, Mondial, a well-known Milanese company founded in 1929 by the Boselli Brothers and which became famous for having won 5 World Speed Titles, thanks to the publicity of these titles, managed to capitalize with good sales results for the various models on the list; in the 1950s the most popular engine size was 175cc and, at the 1956 Milan Motor Show, Mondial presented its new 4-stroke engine, with rod and rocker arm distribution, produced by the Michelini company of Bologna and which would be mounted, starting from 1957, on the 175 Super Turismo; in 1958 the range was expanded and the 175 Sprint with four-speed gearbox went into production._x000D_
