Description

  • Oxford-based, Metisse Motorcycles have been manufacturing bikes since 1982 using the original Rickman tooling
  • The Desert Racer was made famous in the 1960s by Steve McQueen who raced a Bud Ekins-built example
  • This particular bike was built by Gerry Lisi, allegedly as payment for his work on a pond 
  • McQueen Desert Racer-spec but using a 750cc Triumph engine with left-hand gear change
  • Built in 2017 with a 1967 registration number. UK-registered on a V5C
  • In good running order and fitted with lights that could easily be removed for the authentic West Coast look
