When you hear the name "Iso", you will remember powerful Italian sports cars. The company actually began its activities in a completely different field: household appliances, under the brand name "Isothermos". In the aftermath of World War II, the need for economical means of transport was particularly crucial in Italy, the company became interested in two-wheeled vehicles, developing several models including the Isoscooter, a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder two-wheeler with an enveloping body which was very well finished, with removable side covers. Subsequently, Iso developed the Isetta, the famous microcar which was built under license by BMW and, in France, by Velam. But that's another story...
The scooter we are offering was bought by an Iso collector who wanted to add this important two-wheeled vehicle to the history of the brand, next to the cars which had made his marque famous. He found it in Italy and had it completely restored, regardless of cost and time. This very beautiful two-wheeler, very original, is a superb example of the very beginnings of the scooter craze in Italy, before scooters became fashionable.
