The Indian brand name is one of the oldest and most legendary brands in the world of motorcycling. Founded in 1897 by George M. Hendee as a bicycle workshop, with his partner Carl Oscar Hedstrom, a volcanic engineer, did not miss the opportunity to propose, among the first, a motorized bicycle that soon became a motorbike in all respects. In 1901, they moved their production plant to Springfield and the Indian brand name was born._x000D_
These motorbikes immediately distinguished themselves for their high quality standards and excellent performance, which made them triumph in many competitions. The great economic crisis put a heavy brake on the Indian activities, which nevertheless maintained production, demonstrating strong resilience from an organisational and commercial point of view. During the two world wars, their main activities were to supply motorbikes to the American and French troops._x000D_
The famous 42° V-twin engine, created in 1906, became world famous and is still an icon of two-wheeled motoring._x000D_
The 750 cc 741 B, of military origin, was produced in 1941, then registered as a motorbike in 1950 and is roadworthy in motorbike mode. An unmissable opportunity to acquire a symbol of world motorcycling. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use._x000D_
