IMN (Industria Meccanica Napoletana), founded in the 1920s as Cantiere Navale di Baia di Pozzuoli, became Silurificio di Baia during the Second World War and then reconverted with civil production at the end of the war. Among the various products built were compressors, diesel engines, and equipment for the milling industry and, of course, motorbikes. In 1950, it began to produce the Mosquito micromotor under licence from Garelli and, in the meantime, it designed its own open single girder frame in stamped sheet metal and marketed the complete vehicle under the name BMG (Bici Mosquito Garelli). 1952 saw the birth of the ‘Paperino’ moped, which still used the Mosquito engine and, two years later, the Super Paperino and Super Paperino Sport were presented, equipped with a 2-stroke engine and three-speed gearbox manufactured by IMN; a rare piece from the singular Neapolitan motorbike company. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
