1975 Honda ST70 Dax
Frame no. ST70-562446
With the launch of the CZ100 in 1960, Honda created the class of machine known as 'monkey bikes', so called because of their diminutive stature. The power unit was the C100 step-thru's reliable four-stroke single, and an ultra-short wheelbase, small wheels and a vestigial fuel tank were all features of a machine which, in the case of the folding handlebar version, could be fitted into the boot of car. A 72cc version, the ST70 Dax, with a slightly larger and more practical frame, was introduced in 1969.
First registered on 7th May 1975, this Dax was restored in 2008 and since the rebuild's completion has covered fewer than 520 kilometres. The carburettor has just been serviced by Honda in July 2023 (invoice in file) and the moped is said to perform excellently.
Finished in Pastellblau (Pastel Blue), this charming little machine is presented in excellent restored condition, always carefully maintained and finished in a very attractive colour combination. It is offered with a USB stick (photographs of the restoration); invoices for servicing and various parts totalling around 1,750; an expert's condition report from 2017; previous cancelled Carte Grise; a valid French registration document and two keys. A real head-turner and an opportunity not to be missed!
