This highly sought-after model was unveiled by Honda in the early 1990s. It was fitted with a Dream 50 engine with camshafts, spring and piston valves, and low-friction chains. The crankshaft and light alternator were newly designed for the Dream 50R. The gearbox was a six-speed close-ratio model. From an aesthetic point of view, it featured aluminium tank, rear mudguards and front cowling. The suspension featured pre-charge regulators to guarantee better control of the bike.
