Description

The E-series Dream is widely regarded as the motorcycle that put Honda on the map as one of the world’s premier manufacturers. These pioneering models featured the brand’s first overhead-cam engines, a design that would become a hallmark of their incredibly successful models through the 1960s and 1970s. The significance of the Dream to the company’s future domination in the US cannot be overstated, as Americans nationwide were instantly taken with Honda’s quality, performance, and reliable operation.

This Dream is a 250 cc model from 1957, and while its earliest history is not known, documents on file show it was imported from Osaka, Japan to the US by Allen Siekman of Ben Lomond, California. Mr. Siekman is well known in Honda motorcycle circles, and his comprehensive report about this ME-250 is on file.

The consignor purchased the Dream from Mr. Siekman in 2015, adding it to his world-class collection of Honda motorcycles. In current care, the Honda has been carefully preserved, and it was reportedly last ridden in the summer of 2023. The bike’s condition shows signs of careful use over many years, adding to the allure of this important and rare machine.

*Please note that this vehicle has been in long-term static storage and will require mechanical maintenance prior to road use.
