In 1968, Honda led the revolution that changed the way motorbikes were made with the introduction of the CB750 Four. In Honda's vision, technical refinement, performance, reliability and commercial competitiveness were at the core of the new motorbikes being produced.
With the CB500, Honda revolutionised the way of thinking about the various models offered in a given range. At that time it was common practice for motorbike manufacturers to diversify their commercial offerings by offering motorbikes of different displacements and equipment based on an almost unchanged technical layout between models. With the CB500, Honda created a motorbike that shared only a similar layout and styling with its big sister. It was a show of strength by Honda to create a bike specifically for its displacement, with a chassis and technical solutions which were not shared with its bigger or smaller sisters.
This 1975 K3 has had only three owners since new and retains its original number plates. In 46 years it has covered less than 40,000 km. Restored a few years ago, it is ready for use and will give its new owner many pleasurable rides.
