1973 Aermacchi/Harley-Davidson SX350
Odometer: Indicating 4,465 miles
Engine: 350cc 4-stroke single cylinder
- Original condition
- Ready to ride
- Interesting build history
With the rise of Japanese bikes through the 60's and 70's into America, Harley-Davidson needed something competitive in the small bike segment.
Rather than develop their own, that would take time and substantial outlay, they found another option of buying 50% of Aermacchi.
This 1973 SX350 in black is in very original unrestored condition with an obviously cared for life and limited km's travelled.
This model also benefited from added electric and kick start and 12 volts brought in for the 1972 year model.
Fitted with a 350cc 4-stroke single cylinder, they were a good performer but up against the Japanese bikes but at the time the SX wasn't a huge success. Although due to this these bikes are now very hard to find, especially one in its original condition.
With values steadily increasing, this bike will make a great weekend ride and investment.
