2001 was the last year of 996 production. Ducati offered three different versions, the base model Biposto, a new 996 ’S’ was which basically the previous SPS model which had the 123bhp engine with an Öhlins rear shock and Showa forks and the more track focused 996R which featured the new Testastretta 135 bhp engine. This very fine example is one of only eleven bikes sold that year in the yellow livery. With just two recorded owners this example is fitted with a slipper clutch and the upgraded Bremo radial front brake master cylinder. Showing 16,314 miles it has a comprehensive service history, with a recent cam belt change and new battery. In truly excellent condition it is supplied with all the factory handbooks and will be supplied with a new MoT.
