Description
1924 DOUGLAS 350
Frame n° 25790
- A rare English bike
- Longitudinal layout of the flat twin
- Old restoration, registration papers from 1926
Based in Bristol, Douglas was a brand, which despite many vicissitudes, produced motorcycles for half a century, from 1907 to 1957. Powered by a flat-twin engine placed longitudinally in the frame, this Douglas 350cc with side valves is derived from the machines which was used by English vans during the First World
War. This reliable and proven machine is also distinguished by its gearbox control: the two ratios are controlled by a rod passing through the reservoir, allowing the selection of speeds. Equipped with its old registration document and lighting, this machine is complete and has a lovely patina. In good general condition, it is sold with an additional Douglas engine from another model.
