The company Ceccato & C S.p.A. was founded in 1938 by Pietro Ceccato in Montecchio Maggiore, in the province of Vicenza, to produce compressors for motor vehicles and water purification systems. While diversifying its production, it turned to the most varied sectors, gas burners, lifting bridges, compressors and, obviously, mopeds. In 1949, the first models of auxiliary engines for bicycles left the Vicenza factories, preceding the start of production of mopeds and, later, light motorbikes._x000D_
The Ciclomotore 49 model had a sturdy single-beam frame (patented) with built-in fuel tank and parallelogram fork and was powered by a 49 cc 2-stroke engine with metal roller transmission. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
