Description

The Aspes Cross 125 (also known as Hopi) first entered the market in 1972 as the successor to the Apache. The bike, which enjoyed significant motocross success, featured an engine manufactured by the company instead of the trend of the time to fit a Sachs. The particular features of the Cross 125 were the engine size, at 30 cm wide, the casing which was cut horizontally to facilitate removal of the transmission components, the high exhaust pipe, the electronic ignition, the extensive finning on the engine to aid cooling, and the balanced crankshaft with light alloy plating.
