Two icons of Italian life, the Vespa and the wooden speedboats made by Riva, have been brought together in an intriguing product from New Zealand company Digital Veneer.

The limited-edition ‘Tribute Vespa’ is, according to its makers, the ultimate ‘shoreside tender’ – quite an addition to a superyacht, when it comes to onshore transport for the jet set of St Tropez. Digital Veneer’s ‘Mahogany’ mirror finish – a lightweight alternative to real wood – transforms each brand-new Vespa into ‘an authentic and unique work of art’, complemented by a hand-stitched leather seat, another element reminiscent of luxury speedboats.
