After a non-stop summer of slow walks along concours lawns and race paddocks, we’re heading towards the final few events of what has been a relentless but incredible 2024 show season. Just before we completely wind down proceedings, though, Belgium will host its ninth edition of the popular InterClassics Classic Car Show, set to dazzle the halls of the Brussels Expo once more!
This year, among many other themes that are dotted around the showground, Maserati’s 110th anniversary will play the largest role. Bringing together over twenty models made by the Italian manufacturer at the Brussels Heizelpaleizen, with models from various museums and international private collections, these cars showcase just how powerful the Maserati brand has been for decades. From participation in the Targa Florio to Formula E, their undeniable presence in motorsport has led to some of the world’s best racing cars, with some making an appearance at InterClassics 2024.
While they were burning rubber on the race track, Maserati were also busy showing off their capable road cars, too. For decades, the brand has brought true Italian style and charm to our roads, with iconic models like the 3500 GT, the then-groundbreaking Quattroporte and stylish Ghibli. If supercars are more your style, Maserati managed to steal the limelight in the new millennium with the mighty MC12, a car that is considered one of the most desired supercars ever, with values showing no signs of slowing!
New for its ninth edition, InterClassics will be host to an ‘importer’ section, with showrooms such as D'Ieteren Luxury Performance, who will be present with models from Porsche, Lamborghini, Bentley, and of course, Maserati. Alongside these rare and collectable classics and youngtimers, brands such as Aston Martin, Lotus, Donkervoort, KTM, and Smart will also make an appearance on the exhibition floor, showcasing models of their bright future, as well as celebrating the rich heritage many hold.
Elsewhere across the jam-packed show, the BEHVA Village will undoubtably be one of the 2024 event's most memorable attractions. Inside this unique club section of the fair, the Belgian Historic Vehicle Association, or BEHVA, will showcase classic and collector cars that will suit almost any enthusiast, with over 82,000 members involved! If the constant car chat has you looking for something a little different, InterClassics’ Art Area will be the ideal place to unwind and discover new artists for your home or office. Within this section, dozens of talented artists will display their work, ranging from huge paintings to unique model cars and furniture.
Spread over 40,000 square metres and fully loaded with classics, youngtimers, and supercars, as well as the celebrations surrounding 110 years of Maserati, we are certain InterClassics 2024 will be a wonderful way to round off a busy year of events. Tickets are selling quickly, but weekend or day tickets are still available, as well as exclusive ‘Preview Night’ tickets, where on the eve of the event you will dine among some of the finest classic and collector cars money can buy in what promises to be an unforgettable evening!
