Land Rover has announced that the new Range Rover Evoque, available in both 5-door and coupé forms when it goes on sale in September, will be priced from £27,955 for the entry-level 2WD model, through to £44,320 for the top-of-the-range Si4 6 Speed automatic Dynamic coupé with LUX pack.

Between these two extremes is a wide spectrum to select from, with a choice of three engines, the two body styles, three design themes and – of course – a wealth of options and accessories. These latter include 12 exterior colours, three contrasting roof treatments, seven alloy wheel designs, 16 contrasting interiors and a full-sized, fixed, panoramic glass roof.

Meanwhile, the range-topping 240PS 2.0-litre Si4 petrol engine combines direct fuel injection with turbocharging and twin variable valve timing, to give 0-60mph in as little as 7.1 seconds. When fitted with the £4325 LUX Pack, it can boast a powered tailgate and panoramic glass roof with power blinds, an 8-inch high-resolution, dual-view touch-screen display, analogue/digital television, surround camera system with tow assist, blind spot monitoring and keyless entry among its many luxurious goodies.
