The Prodrive at Goodwood Aston Martin and Rally Stage Experience

Goodwood and Prodrive have announced an exciting and innovative partnership. Based at both the Goodwood Motor Circuit and the authentic Goodwood Forest Rally Stage, small groups of corporate users will have the 'unique Aston Martin and rally stage experience'. The guests will be using powerful works-prepared Prodrive Aston Martin and rally-specification Subaru Impreza race cars.

Goodwood circuit was of course the venue when Aston Martin sealed the Sports Car World Championship in 1959 with a win at the Royal Automobile Club Tourist Trophy. Sir Stirling Moss was on the driving roster that time, sharing the winning car with Carroll Shelby and Jack Fairman after his own car caught fire in the pits during a refuelling stop. Goodwood have made it possible to arrange for Sir Stirling to join today's events with his original DBR1.

Following in the tyre rubber of Sir Stirling’s Aston, small, intimate groups of corporate users can now experience the thrill of taking the wheel of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage. There will also be an opportunity to drive Prodrive’s uprated version of the AMV8 incorporating handling and braking upgrades together with a tuned engine now producing 425bhp .

For the ultimate thrill, a ride in the Aston Martin DBRS9 endurance racecar will complete the track experience.

Then, in the same day, participants can visit the Goodwood Forest Rally Stage, and sample a genuine works rally-specification Subaru Impreza. The Goodwood Forest Rally Stage is a purpose-built facility in the grounds of Goodwood House, originally designed specifically for the Festival of Speed by rallying legend Hannu Mikkola.

Piloted by a team of top rally drivers to provide a thrilling demonstration of sideways driving, Prodrive’s specially prepared Group N Subaru rally cars will power each guest through the dense woodlands before emerging into the sunlight at the top of the stage, whilst the guests act as co-drivers for the rally pro. Guests can also drive themselves in a Prodrive-prepared Subaru STI WRX on a special course.

At the Circuit, the modern Jackie Stewart Pavilion will offer all guests a stylish base for their day, with unrivalled views from the balcony overlooking both the paddocks and track, including the famous Goodwood chicane.

Commenting on Prodrive at Goodwood, the Earl of March says "I am truly delighted to have Prodrive on board with this unique and exciting track day initiative. It is a real honour to be in partnership with a world-class, professional motor sport operation like Prodrive."

Prodrive chairman and chief executive, David Richards, said: "I have known Lord March for many years and was delighted when he suggested the idea of a Prodrive day at Goodwood. I thought it was the perfect environment for people to experience the thrill of riding in the latest Subaru rally and Aston Martin racing cars on a true forest stage, on one of the fastest circuits in the country."

The Prodrive at Goodwood Aston Martin and Rally Stage experience is available strictly to corporate customers only, for between 15 and 20 guests.
