P9522: Latest Mobile Phone from Porsche Design

Porsche Design, together with the French electronics company Sagem Wireless, has produced its second mobile phone.

The company’s first, the P9521, was a clamshell device. For 2010, the very latest P9522 is a machined-from-solid, touch-screen beauty made of matt-black anodised aluminium and mineral glass. Weighing in at 139g, the solidity and scratch resistance of the 2.8" widescreen touch display is matched by an aluminium ‘chassis’ – a design feature that would not be out of place in a Porsche sportscar.

As a security measure, the P9522 features fingerprint-recognition technology. The biometric sensor can be used to authenticate users, allowing them to access their data with a fingerprint. The quad-band mobile phone can handle email, video streaming and calendar organisation. It will also play music files and has, as standard, a 5-megapixel, auto-focus, LED flash camera integrated into its back.

The Porsche Design P9522 is available from Porsche Design stores across Europe. For more information, visit www.mobileporschedesign.com.
