It will be the second time Osenat has held a sale at Fontainebleau, south of Paris, this year. An amazing range of taxis from all over the world (and solar system) is a highlight but, in addition, many more traditional classics will be offered on 17 June.
So, if you miss out on the bizarre New York taxi of the skies at 5,000 – 7,000 euros, there’s the special-bodied (by Vignale) 1960 Maserati 3500GT Spyder (‘Estimate on Request’) and many other fascinating entries.
The seven Panhards will interest Francophiles worldwide (we like the wacky 1964 Dynamique 17 Break, at 5,000 – 7,000 euros), and they are joined by other all-French cars from Renault, Citroën, DB, Talbot and Peugeot. And there’s even a 1923 Ford Special Montier Gaillon, a car which competed in the Le Mans Classic in 2008 and 2010 (‘Estimate on Request’).
As you’d expect, the catalogue also lists fine entries from MG, Austin-Healey, Morgan, Triumph and Jaguar. For those preferring German classics, there are three Mercedes and six Porsches to choose from. And, as well as three Maseratis, Italy is represented by a Lancia Fulvia and three Ferraris (two 355s and a 1968 365 GT 2+2).
It’s not only motor cars, though. Osenat’s 17 June auction includes many motorcycles and a number of traditional wooden boats from Riva, Vleet, Rocca and other famous boatbuilders.
