After steadily (read 'agonisingly') drip-feeding details of its new 911, Porsche has released a video and photo set which completes the puzzle that is the 991-series.

In times of crisis, people always seem to focus on the bad news: burning cities, tumbling stock markets, worries and uncertainties everywhere. Even the car industry is more restless than ever.

But now, at last, it's coming: the new Porsche 911 debuts at the IAA in Frankfurt this September.

Understandably, Porsche has decided not to reinvent, but only improve a tried-and-tested design - in every possible way. That said, development manager Bernd Kanau commented: "The 997-model 911 was based largely on its 996 predecessor. This is completely different with the 991".
