Morgan Aero SuperSports

Morgan has announced a limited-edition model to celebrate its 100th year of car production – the Morgan Aero SuperSports.

Based on the 100 AeroMax coupés built by the factory in 2008 and 2009, the lightweight aluminium sports car adds luxury to the interior with various polished hardwoods, hand-stitched leather and plenty of electronic technology. In spite of this, the lightweight aluminium Aero chassis and aluminium outer panels keep weight low, and hence the Aero SuperSports remains responsive to drive and economical to run. There are also two aluminium detachable roof panels, which can be stored in the boot for more open-air motoring.

Drawn by Matthew Humphries, and engineered for production by the experienced Morgan Design team, the new Aero SuperSports is due to start production in early 2010. A deposit of £25,000 is required, with the total cost expected to be around £127,000, including VAT.

Said Charles Morgan, “The Morgan Aero SuperSports is a luxurious, flamboyant sports car which remains true to Morgan’s philosophy of lightweight minimalist simplicity. It is a celebration of our love of cars and the romance of travel, and is a fitting model to announce during Morgan’s Centenary year.”
