New British sportscar company McLaren Automotive has confirmed its dealer network in Germany, France, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland. McLaren says it was “inundated” with requests from “the world’s best car retailers” but whittled down the 600 potential outlets to just 35.
In the UK, Rybrook Holdings Ltd in Birmingham, Jardine Motors Group in London and Sytner Group in Manchester will be selling the McLaren MP4-12C from next spring. So, too, will Moll Sportwagen GmbH in Düsseldorf and Merkur Hanseatische Beteiligungs-AG in Hamburg, while the French market will be served by Neubauer Group in Paris and Monaco Luxury Group in Monaco. For Belgium, it’s Ginion Group of Brussels, for Italy Gruppo Fassina in Milan, while Swiss buyers will be able to visit Schmohl AG in Zürich.
Two further retailers for Germany and a Spanish partner will complete the initial European network. They will soon be confirmed, along with McLaren Automotive’s North American, Middle Eastern and South African partners. The company’s Asia Pacific network will be announced later this year.
McLaren Automotive plans to build around a thousand 12Cs in 2011, to be sold initially in 19 countries, of which the UK, USA and Germany will be the biggest markets.
Potential customers and general enthusiasts will be able to witness the 12C’s public world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from 1-4 July.
