Lotus’s new road-going concept was unveiled to the world at Pebble Beach, as part of the McCall’s Motorworks Revival event on Wednesday night, 17 August.

The concept has been built to celebrate the Lotus Evora GTE racer, the latter developed with the aim of conquering the new GTE motorsport category (including at the Le Mans 24 Hours). The new road car promises more than 420bhp from a race-developed engine, mated to a sequential AMT gearbox. Ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels with centre-lock hubs and Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres help transmit all that power to the road, as well as giving the car the necessary hardcore sporting look.

The Evora GTE Road Car Concept is now on show for the remainder of the Monterey week, first within the Lotus display on Peter Hay Hill near The Lodge and then, from Saturday afternoon, 20 August, on the Concept Car Lawn.

Lotus is also bringing its Exige Matte Black Final Edition, which it has created solely for the North American market as the final incarnation of the iconic Exige. Only 25 examples will be built.
