Italian Car Concours at Stanford Hall

This prestigious annual event at Stanford Hall in Leicestershire, organised by Auto Italia magazine, is widely regarded as the premier UK concours for top-quality Italian automobiles. But this year it takes on a new dimension.

Traditionally the event hosts the formal Maserati Club Concours and the Club will once again be showing off a range of Maseratis from all eras. The Ferrari Owners’ Club also takes this opportunity to preselect cars for its own annual concours – and upwards of 180 supercars will be on display.

However, new for this year will be the Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club National Concours, with around 800 examples of the marque expected. Meanwhile, another all-new attraction will be the first national Fiat and Abarth Concours. It’s anticipated that the event will play host to a fine selection of pristine Fiats and Abarths: everything from a Topolino to an Osella Abarth PA2.

There’s no need to pre-book tickets – just turn up on the day. The cost is £10 for adults and £1 for children. There’s also the chance to enjoy the beautiful venue, a real pleasure on a warm day in early summer. See www.stanfordhall.co.uk for directions, or www.auto-italia.co.uk for more details of this, and other Auto Italia days.
