A sky blue time-zone ring - and lemon yellow hour-markers - make the latest limited-edition (to 250 pieces) chronometer from Graham one of its most colourful.
As a separate model in the ‘Silverstone’ collection, one might have thought traditional British Racing Green a more appropriate colour. Perhaps it’s a nod to Brabham’s early 70s paint scheme, though, or maybe the colours represent stooks of corn drying in scorching summer sunshine under azure Northamptonshire skies.
Whatever, the combination is a striking one and sure to cause a stir at the British Racing Drivers’ Club – which owns Silverstone circuit. ‘Stowe’ is, of course, a corner on the high-speed track.
Other features of the 48mm diameter, action-packed watch include a chronometer function courtesy of its G1721, 28-jewel movement and water-resistance to 100 metres. Just the thing for a wetter-than-normal British Grand Prix.
