DesignworksUSA, the BMW Group design consultancy, has created an interior concept for aircraft manufacturer Dassault’s new business jet, the Falcon 2000S.
With a height of 1.88m, a width of 2.34m and a length of 20.20m, the Dassault Falcon 2000S is among the most spacious aircraft in its class. To enhance this sense of space even further, the design team focused on the best use of the cabin with a full-length, flat floor and, in its standard format, seating for 10 passengers.
There are also three elegant colour and material schemes that BMW Group DesignworksUSA has created in collaboration with Dassault, aiming to maximise the available natural light. The ‘Alpine’ version uses natural colour schemes: alpine white, combined with tones reflecting mountains and rocks. ‘Sedona’, meanwhile, is reminiscent of a desert landscape, while ‘Havana’ radiates deep tobacco tones and the atmosphere of a gentlemen’s club.
Along with its unique styling, the Falcon 2000S will be delivered standard with a new Rockwell Collins Cabin Management System that aims to make “the transition from the office to the aircraft as seamless as possible”. The new system offers high-definition viewing for Blu-ray media on wide-screen monitors of up to 19 inches, with functions that can be controlled from anywhere in the aircraft via an iPod Touch or iPhone.
