Editor's Choice: Porsche 911 classic with matching numbers

Currently in the Classic Driver Marketplace is a 1964 Porsche 911, said to be one of the finest examples in existence. The car originates from a careful collector and we're told it's in exceptional original condition.

The striking 911 is one of the original 1964 pilot series cars, of which a total of just 232 examples were made. Of these, only 45 examples are known to have survived today, making each one highly treasured. Bearing production number 133, this car was originally delivered to Germany; it has been kept in an air-conditioned garage by its collector, and has been completely restored. The car claims to be as immaculate as the day it rolled off the production line all those years ago, with the matching-numbers engine displaying just 2500km. It’s presented in its original ruby red paint colour, and has a price tag of 165,000 euros.
