250 GTO Bodywork
With just a few weeks to go, Coys has released details of early entries to its 70-car Monaco auction.
The sale, to be held on Friday 30 April, will be at the start of the biennial Grand Prix de Monaco Historique weekend, held two weeks before the modern Formula One race, a period buzzing with racing, auction and Mille Miglia activity.
As feature lots, Coys highlights the 1955 Maserati A6 G Zagato offered for sale by the family of its original owners (the car a veteran of the 1957 Mille Miglia and the 1957 Tour of Sicily), as well as the famous 1980 Ferrari ‘Pinin’ 12-cylinder, four-seater prototype saloon.

In addition, a late-model, concours-standard 1953 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS that had been delivered new to Prince Ali Khan will also be in the catalogue. So will a model that has appreciated in value in more recent times, a Bugatti EB 110 SS.
Grand Prix BRM V12
The Coys European office is confident that the Grand Prix BRM V12 entered will do well at the auction – “a Monaco Grand Prix veteran in its own right” as they say, with period history at the great street circuit.

Finally, Coys is pleased to be “the only auction company offering anything at all related to a Ferrari 250 GTO...” at Monaco this spring, as it will auction bodywork from chassis 4713 GT - the only 250 GTO to carry distinctive, Le Mans Berlinetta-type coachwork.
Prior to the motor cars, the company will sell various items of memorabilia, including an extensive selection of automobilia from one private collection.
The Coys Legende et Passion sale will be held at the Espace Fontvieille, Monaco, Friday 30 April 2010 at 13:00.
