Cars, watches, collectables – it’s all art for Aguttes

Just in time for Christmas, the French auction house Aguttes invites you to a colourful auction in Neuilly-sur-Seine on 9 December. And with everything from Ferraris to street art, there’s truly something for everyone…

The selection of cars poised to cross the block at Aguttes’ Un Week-End à Bagatelle auction ranges from a 1954 Jaguar XK120 Drophead Coupe to 1990s sports cars such as the Ferrari 348 GTS and the last air-cooled Porsche 911. Personally, we’d be thrilled with the maroon Maserati Quattroporte III from 1983, complete with a cognac-coloured interior and famous 4.9-litre V8 beneath the bonnet. Perhaps the red and white Austin Mini Cooper from 1970 would work better under the garden Christmas tree.

Where other auctions end with the cars, Aguttes is just getting started – it’s also offering classic watches and cufflinks, handbags by Louis Vuitton and Hermès, brooches, jewellery, fountain pens, and numerous other accessories that would make for ideal last-minute Christmas gifts. We particularly like the felt hiking backpack with the matching set of hipflasks and pocket knives, all from the saddlery of Hermès, of course. Works by street artists such as Jonone, Zevs, and Obey Giant can also be found in the catalogue – there’s no limit to your Christmas gift creativity with this sale! You can find the entire catalogue listed in the Classic Driver Market
