Christie’s first London Motor Car sale of 2005 will include over 20 vehicles, the first details of which have recently been released. One of the headlining cars is the 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso once owned by legendary GP privateer Rob Walker.

The 250 GT Lusso was the last of the 250 series cars, and is arguably one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever made. This example is one of approximately 350 built, and was formerly the property of motor racing boss Rob Walker. A member of the Johnny Walker whisky family, Rob Walker was an amateur racing driver before founding his own Formula 1 team. The team competed between 1958 and 1968, and achieved 9 Grand Prix wins with triumphant drivers including Stirling Moss, Jo Siffert, Jochen Rindt and Graham Hill. This example has an estimate of £170,000-200,000.



1992 Bugatti EB110

The Bugatti EB110 was unveiled on 15 September 1991, and represented the first appearance of the famous Bugatti marque since 1956. The car offered a combination of speed and luxury. It broke the world record for top speed for a homologated production road car when it was recorded at 212.5 mph, yet it came equipped with leather electric seats, air-conditioning and a CD player. A price of £340,000 ensured that the car remained exclusive, and this is one of 108 models produced. The estimate on this example is £100,000-130,000.



1923 Bentley 3 Litre Drophead Coupé by Park Ward

This immaculate vintage Bentley was delivered new to Alfred Dunhill in December 1923. Dunhill is most famous for founding the company which carries his name, and which aimed to supply ‘everything but the motor’ in its motor accessories range. This car comes with uniquely styled coachwork by Park Ward, and has an estimate of £60,000-80,000.

Other lots include a 1897 Panhard-Levassor 6hp Twin Cylinder Phaeton (£100,000-150,000) and a 1936 Talbot 3.5 Litre 110 Four Seater Sports Tourer by Vanden Plas, (£60,000-70,000).
