Celsius X VI II

The aim is to create a completely micromechanical mobile phone, powered solely through human energy. The first product along this pathway is LeDIX, a cell phone merged with a tourbillon watch.

LeDIX has been created by the French company Celsius X VI II, itself formed by four young entrepreneurs in 2006. They want to “humanise the future of communication”, taking us on from the digital era to a new dawn of micromechanical applications.

Due to reach the market in May, there will be two limited editions of the mechanical phone-watch and four unique pieces. Eighteen examples of the LeDIX ‘Origine’, in titanium and ebony, will be joined by 28 examples of the LeDIX ‘Noir’, in titanium-treated PVD and carbonfibre. The four ‘Ultimate’ pieces will be uniquely customised for the buyer.

The LeDIX will be unveiled in Switzerland this month, at Baselworld 2010, Hall 4.0, Stand A01.
