A connoisseur’s collection at Fischer Classic Car Auctions

New to the Classic Driver Market, Fischer Classic Car Auctions has presented a selection that will whet the appetite of the most discerning of enthusiasts. We’ve selected our favourites…

With just 23 lots in the catalogue, Fischer’s latest sale, taking place on 28 May in Switzerland, concerns quality rather than quantity – and that’s a refreshing change from the norm. In fact, we’re not sure we’ve seen a catalogue that’s so ‘Classic Driver’ this year, which is impressive considering the higher-profile opposition.

With summer in mind, we’re rather taken with the 1971 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Spider, estimated at 300,000-340,000 CHF. It’s one of the tidiest conversions we’ve seen, and looks enchanting in the timeless dark blue and tan colour combination. Those keener on older classics should enjoy the matching-numbers 1930 Alfa Romeo 6C GS Spider Zagato (estimate on request) and the beautifully restored 1933 Delahaye 122 Brooklands Special (est. 210,000-240,000 CHF). And for the younger enthusiasts, the 1989 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5 16V Evo 1 (65,000-85,000 CHF) may well bring back memories of feisty DTM battles in the early 1990s. You can find the full catalogue for the sale listed in the Classic Driver Market.
