Classics to suit every budget at Silverstone Auctions’ Restoration Show Sale

As part of the Restoration & Classic Car Show taking place in Birmingham this weekend, Silverstone Auctions will offer a mix of exciting classics catering for every budget. These are our favourites…

A special car needn’t cost a fortune, as confirmed by the catalogue for Silverstone Auctions’ Restoration Show Sale, taking place on 6 March. For less than £8,000, you could drive away in a 1980s icon such as the Jaguar Sovereign, Porsche 924 or Mercedes-Benz SL. Elsewhere, there’s a cool 1970s-green Porsche 914 estimated at £14,000-16,000, a soft-top Land Rover (£15,000-18,000) and a cream-coloured Citroën DS 21, expected to fetch £18,000-22,000.

There are also many lesser-seen and more unusual classics on offer, such as the Lancia Montecarlo, a Lotus Talbot Sunbeam or a Triumph Stag. At the other end of the spectrum, there’s the last Lamborghini Diablo built prior to the New Millennium (and VW’s intervention), estimated at £150,000-170,000, or the extremely collectable Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0, which Silverstone auctions anticipate will fetch £250,000-300,000. The entire catalogue for the sale can be found listed in the Classic Driver Market, or we’ve listed our ten favourites below…
