The Caparo T1, the ultra-high-performance car for road and track, now has a global concessionaire to oversee worldwide sales. The lucky outfit, confirmed as Bennington’s (Norfolk) Ltd, will both be the main sales, service and support agent for the Caparo T1, and the company responsible for appointing regional dealers around the globe.

The Caparo T1 is available in four basic specifications: Track Day, Road T1, Race Extreme and a road version of the Race Extreme. In its 550kg dry weight configuration, the T1’s naturally aspirated, all-aluminium Caparo V8 engine produces 575bhp per tonne but, if this sounds a little leisurely, you can always have it upgraded to deliver 620bhp at, er, 10,500rpm.

The claimed performance figures for the most powerful Race Extreme version are nothing short of electrifying. Take, for example, a 0-62mph figure of 2.8 seconds (with 0-100mph in 5.8 seconds), 4g forces under braking and 3.5g in cornering.
