Brabus Bullit Black Arrow

While a quick glance tells you this is no ordinary Mercedes C-Class, even a long, leisurely stare wouldn’t be enough to guess the truth.

The truth, that is, of the twin-turbocharged V12 engine nestled under the matt-black bonnet, putting out a sultry 720bhp and 974lb ft of torque. All of which means that this saloon car can scoot from 0-62mph in a mere 3.9 seconds; or 0-186mph in just 24.5, if you feel so inclined, and on to a top speed of more than 225mph.

Brabus calls it the Bullit Black Arrow, a (deep breath) “ultra-powerful, ultra-fast and conspicuously inconspicuous four-door stealth super-sports car”, no less.

Modifications to the reinforced body were necessary to shoehorn the turbocharged V12 (derived from the Brabus Rocket, using a redeveloped Mercedes S 600 engine) into the engine bay. That phenomenal power is transferred to the rear wheels via reinforced five-speed automatic transmission and a Brabus limited-slip differential.

The Bullit features large air ducts in the carbonfibre front apron and, at the rear, a three-piece spoiler and apron with integrated diffuser. A wider track optimises directional stability (fairly important at 200mph).

Behind the flared wheelarches, the 9.5Jx19 front wheels are shod with 265/30 ZR 19 tyres, while the 10Jx19 rears wear size 285/30 ZR 19. To stop them turning, the Brabus brake system boasts 12-piston aluminium fixed calipers at the front, gripping 380mm vented and grooved discs. At the rear, six-piston calipers work on 360mm discs.

The Brabus Bullit Black Arrow will be produced in a low-volume run, with prices starting at 348,000 euros. See
