President of Bonhams Europe, Simon Kidston, is excited about an early entry to their August Sale “This is the first genuine one owner Daytona Spyder to come to auction in many years, and is even rarer as one of only a handful built to European specification.”

The owner, who heads a German firm which is a household name in Europe, collected his prized bright red V12 sports car from the German Ferrari importer in the summer of 1972 and has used it sparingly for high days and holidays since then, covering a mere 51,316km.

Always maintained without regard to expense by the official Ferrari importer, this must be one of the finest Daytona Spyders in existence.

This Ferrari, and many other significant cars and automobilia, will form part of Bonhams Europe’s annual sale at the Nurburgring Oldtimer Grand Prix on 9th August 2003.

The full car catalogue will, as usual, be included in the Classic Driver car database and a full preview and lotlist will be online when published.
