Ducati Monster Diesel: Powered by Italian chic

You can retrieve your eyebrows from the ceiling – Ducati hasn’t made a motorbike which drinks from the black pump, but it has collaborated with the Italian clothing brand to produce a special edition version of its popular Monster motorcycle.

The new limited edition model aims to build on the Monster’s youthful image by adding what the Italian duo calls ‘urban military chic’. Or what Classic Driver calls a new paint job.

Said hue is ‘Diesel Brave Green matte’, paired with black treatment of the frame, wheels, engine covers, exhaust system and forks. The ‘shocking yellow’ front brake calipers and rear springs jump out from the rest of the bike – which is based on a Monster 1100EVO.

The bike isn’t the only fruit of the Italian collaboration; Diesel will also offer an associated clothing line, which consists of slim-fitting biker jackets, sweaters, tee-shirts, a denim jacket and a set of accessories.

The dual-branded clothing range will go on sale in mid-April at Diesel Stores, the Diesel website and selected Ducati dealers. It’ll be another two months after that before you can get your Diesel glove around the throttle of the special edition Monster – sales commence worldwide in late July.

No details of prices or production numbers have yet been released.
