Barons Sale 19th October 2004 Sandown Park, Esher - Preview

A Ferrari for as little as £7,750? That’s the lower estimate of a 1981 Mondial entered at Barons next Esher Sale. If that does not appeal then there are over 40 other cars that may well do.

The Ferrari is the 8-valve car, and is thought to have covered only 47,000 miles in 23 years. Finished Rosso Corsa with Crema leather it’s described as being in ‘good to very good’ condition. Interestingly its service this July is believed to have cost just under £1,500.00 - just over 20% of the possible selling price. One for the Ferrari fans on a budget, the estimate is just £7,750 - 10,000.

For those more sedate among us may I suggest the 1978 Bentley T2 at even less money? Finished in the right colour (Silver Grey with Navy leather), at £5,500 to 7,000 it seems a good buy. There are two other more modern Bentleys in the sale, a 1992 Eight for £14,500 -16,000, and a 1984 Mulsanne Turbo (complete with Harvey Bailey handling kit) twin-headlamp model for £7,000-8,500.

If Rolls-Royce are more your fancy then there is a very nice 1956 Silver Cloud I, in Velvet Green, that is described as in ‘show ready condition’ and can be yours for £17, 000 to 21,000. For those really impecunious R-R enthusiasts then there's also a ‘project’ 1972 Silver Shadow for £2,000 to 4,000. Needless to say there is plenty more in the Jaguar, Mercedes and MG line, all of which can be seen below.
