Antiquorum Auction: Rock stars on camera

Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, or perhaps you prefer John Lennon? On 8 October, in New York, auction house Antiquorum will be offering a selection of rare photographs of these classics of rock history.

It is an exceptional collection that the Morrison Hotel Gallery is putting up for sale: a mixture of photographic portraits and snapshots taken on tour. There is, for example, a picture of Mick Jagger and his Aston Martin from 1966, the Beatles in 1964 under umbrellas in Scotland, Keith Richards with a whisky bottle in 1979, Bob Marley during a concert performance and Bruce Springfield with his classic Corvette. The limited-edition portraits are either digitised or traditional paper prints.

If you want to secure a piece of rock royalty history, you should be ready to bid in the region of USD 2,000 - 8,000. The auction will be held on 8 October 2013 at Antiquorum in New York. Interested parties can also place a bid online.
