AMG reveals 2007 CL

Just a week or so since the official photos of Mercedes-Benz's new CL broke cover, the company's exclusive tuning partner AMG has revealed their version of the flagship four-seat coupé. The changes are purely cosmetic, with new bodywork and light alloy wheels.

The AMG bodystyling for the new Mercedes-Benz CL-Class comprises a front and rear apron and side skirts. The redesigned front bumper with enlarged air intakes and chrome-ringed circular fog lamps combines with two slanted struts and a smooth transition to the prominent wheel arches. The AMG side skirts carry the lines seamlessly through to the AMG rear apron and rear bumper with its black insert and chrome trim strip flanked by tailpipes on either side.

Also available for the new CL-Class are 19-inch five-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels with embossed AMG lettering. The 8.5/9.5-inch-wide wheels carry 255/40 (front) and 275/40 (rear) tyres and available on either model (CL500 + CL600). The ex-factory prices are EUR 5,336 for the AMG bodystyling package and EUR 3,132 (CL 500)/EUR 1,972 (CL 600) for the AMG light-alloy wheels (all figures include 16 % VAT).
