9th April 2003 - Results - H&H Buxton, Derbyshire

The ‘barn find’ Bentley 3-litre Four-seater Tourer comfortably exceeded its £45-55,000 estimate at H&H’s recent Buxton sale, eventually sold for £64,500 (with commission). You then have to go down to the £30k level to see the next car in the results, another pre-war classic, a 1933 Rolls-Royce 20/25 at £32,250.

Strongish Auction money for a couple of Jaguar E-types was achieved, £18,812 for a 1967 4.2 series 1 ½ Roadster and £18,167 for a 1968 4.2 coupe. Whilst another British 1960s favourite, a 1963 Austin Healey 3000 MK II BJ7 reached £23,650. All prices with commission of course.

Non-sellers included the Lamborghini Espada and the 1994 version Maserati Ghibli.

Finally, £13,975 for the 1955 A.C. Aceca Coupe was a bargain in my book.

For a full results listing, see the Provisional Auction Results.

H&H’s next sale will be in London, a first for them, on 7th May 2003 at Olympia - and all entries will feature in the Classic Driver Car Database
