24th of December: Dr. Thomas Bscher
The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the ultimate Christmas gift: 400+ km/h top speed, propelled by an 8-litre engine with 16-cylinders and 1001 hp.
The Veyron 16.4 is without a doubt the most powerful and fastest present beneath the Christmas tree.
Today it's one of the fastest cars of all time, carrying on a tradition established by Ettore and Jean Bugatti; ambitious automobile designers who allowed no room for compromise when it came to technical perfection and artistic aesthetics. The top speed objective of over 400 km/h has influenced the design of every engine and running gear component. For example: the carbon-ceramic brake system, many parts of which are unique, and certain components having been developed in cooperation with technical partners from the aviation and space industries.
Experiencing the Veyron's braking-system in action is just as breathtaking as enjoying its acceleration and top speed. The deployment above 200 km/h of the airbrake gives the vehicle deceleration that cannot be experienced in any other car in series production.
